When we decided to collaborate with Cigar City, the ideas quickly took on a Cuban theme - specifically cuisine. The result is a pair of beers, this one being brewed with the super-ripe platanos maduros. With several layers of dark malts providing a rich base, the caramelized plantains offer a creamy texture and delicious taste. El Bizarron is the hero of a Cuban folktale, a simple worker who outsmarted the devil, winning his freedom, as well as, a load of silver, kicked to the heavens loaded on his faithful burro, way up high where he knew the devil couldn't follow.
