Grapefruit Radler
About a hundred years ago, the story goes, German innkeeper Franz Kugler had a problem. The bicycle trail he had created through the woods that led directly to his beer garden was working a little too well, and on a warm June day in 1922, some 13,000 cyclists came rolling in looking for a post-ride pint. Running low on beer, Kugler blended what he had left with a lemon soda he could never seem to get rid of and called it Radlermass (literally “cyclist’s liter”). The rest is history. Using our award-winning Golden Lager as a base, we juiced up our interpretation of this crushable concoction with additions organic grapefruit juice and a hint of ginger.
