Fresh hop IPA brewed with hops exclusively provided by 812 Farms in Columbus, Indiana. Features Cascade, Nugget, Chinook and an Indiana native wild hop. Orange rind, grapefruit, spice, peach and pine resin dominate.
Freshly picked hops from the night before were added at the very last minute in the kettle at whirlpool to capture as much aroma and flavor as possible of the hop varieties used. We used two varieties in the fresh hop addition: Cascade and a native Indiana wild hop - that no other brewery has currently used. This wild hop provided a unique peppery spice and bright mandarin orange character to the beer. All hops for this beer came from 812 Farms and consists of Nugget, Cascade, Chinook, and the native hop.
